I cannot wait for the election to be over. At the end of the day nothing will change until both sides learn to work together. We ask our children to take responsibility for their actions. How can they, when the leaders of this country are more interested in placing blame than solving problems? Where are the role models? Where are the adults? I look at politicians and all I see are a bunch of old children running around.

Age does not make you an adult. Taking responsibility, solving problems, working together to correct mistakes instead of trying to blame someone, that's what adults do.  The only reason to find the source of a problem is to correct it and prevent it from happening again, not to point the finger. True change can only come when people really want it.

Quite frankly the similarities between Reagan and Obama are striking. Both presidents inherited a failed economy, foreign turmoil and a growing national debt. Both presidents sent the country into trillions of dollars in debt to try and bring the country out of a recession. Both presidents suffered brutal criticisms from the opposition.  And both presidents were victims of discrimination during their respective elections, Reagan for his age and Obama for his heritage. Finally both presidents were adults, making hard choices and taking responsibility for better or worse for their decisions. Whether you agree or disagree with Obama's policies you have to respect that he did something. He reformed medical care allowing children to receive benefits from their parents until 26, he regulated the banks so they could no longer set up customers for large fees and penalties and he ended the war in Iraq. He also continued the war in Afghanistan.

This author is not passing judgement on whether these were good changes or bad, merely stating the fact that they did happen as Obama promised. Furthermore I am undecided about the upcoming election. I just wish that the voting populace would behave like adults and educate themselves to both sides to make an informed decision and not decide how to vote based on what their favorite talk show host has to say.
